I wanna share a book that I listened to on Audible. It’s called “Intra Muros” (within the gates of heaven) written in 1898 this book on audio is only 3 hours long so I savor it by only listening while driving to work. The first 20 minutes had me envious of the departed. I found myself homesick for a place I had never been. I was walking in Kroger thinking of the description of heaven being disgusted that I have to do these mundane earthly task while all of heaven is a buzz. I then felt joy for those who have passed on and pity for us in our ignorance of who Christ really is and what heaven is like.

When she encountered Jesus a few times I felt I knew what she was talking about.. He IS love.. He reads your thoughts and knows your every emotion. She went to her funeral briefly but not to stand idol but to try and give them a sign she wasn’t in the box. She was there to comfort those left behind but could only do as much as the Father willed. There is a part where when she entered heaven she had to dip in the River of life to remove much of the residue left from the world; she was able to laugh and breathe underwater, and the water didn’t wet her robe not one bit.

Every encounter explained the magnificence of the Kingdom. People she knew heard she was coming and they would come at various times to visit and take her to visit others she had forgotten she touched in life or told about Jesus. I Am enamored at how vivid the details of this book. Rebecca Springer really did capture the essence of heaven. I will listen to this as many times as I emotionally can.. it’s so moving I can only do small bits at a time. The thing that sticks out most is that EVERY thing we do is connected to our lives there. Our impact here will be seen there..
