Disingenuous

I can deal with a lot of people but ones who are disingenuous I cannot tolerate. I’ve met many people who smile with their lips but not with their eyes. They feign interest in your pursuits because others like you and they wanna be in agreement with them and be close to you “just in case” these are ones who would backstab you if EVER given the opportunity. They struggle with envy but will not address it because it would cause them to have to change. 

When around them watch for micro expressions. This happens when you tell them good news just for a split second they look sick and then smile. This is the real them. That spirit doesn’t  wanna see you win and doesn’t wanna see you EVER have more than them. 

These are not your friends. They’re monitoring spirits. They sow seeds of doubt when you share your vision or any good news. They tell you you’re fine the way you are because to see you grow is unbearable. Be careful about “well meaning” advice from folk doing less than you. Much of it is not from a good place.

You have friends.. that’s great. Be sure they have you too.
